Recommendations for Insulae Draconis Awards
Their highnesses need your help, yes you, all of the populace. They may rule over our land for the Crown of Drachenwald, but they don’t know everyone or what they are doing.
Think about people you know who are doing good work and tell their Highnesses about them, by sending in a recommendation for that person to receive an Insulae Draconis award. The four categories of Excellence & Example, Arts Martial, Arts & Sciences and Service cover pretty much anything. Your recommendation could well be the clincher in their decision to award.
First check that they don’t already have the award you are thinking of by checking their name against the list here on the Rockall Herald pages. Remember that the awards are primarily for the populace of Insulae Draconis, Nordmark has its own equivalents.
As well as the Principality Companies of Merit and Orders, their Majesties Drachenwald have granted their Highnesses a despensation allowing them to award arms to those dwelling within the Principality. So if you know of anyone who does not yet have their Award of Arms, and you think they deserve it, please recommend them, ideally both to their Highnesses and also to their Majesties.
You can either use the web form below or email the following information to their Highnesses;
- SCA Name of the person you are recommending
- Real life Name of that person
- Which award you are recommending them for
- Why? i.e. what have they done to have you do this recommendation
- What events do you know they’ll be at, especially if the Coronetwill be in attendance
- Which if any scribe would you like to do their scroll
- Your own SCA name & e-mail address (in case they want more information from you)
Rewarding people for their good works is one of the delights of holding the Coronets of our lands, so keep them aware of people you think deserving.
