The Academy of Defence

Academy of Defence is a group within the Kingdom of Drachenwald who promote the noble art of fencing. They encourage, recognise and train fencers of all levels of skill all over the Kingdom. In addition the Academy provides a forum, a support group and gather fencing resources of both historical and educational value. Membership to the Academy will be on a voluntary basis and free of charge. Donations - of braids, as discussed below - are requested, but not required. To become a member of the Drachenwald Academy of Defence you do not have to be a fencer. You only have to have an interest in the Academy (i.e. as a member you help the Academy by increasing its numbers). - If you wish to be member write to the Academy Scribe and ask to join, that’s it!

The Academy is led by the Preceptor, and it is their responsibility to represent the Academy before the Crown, and to maintain the charter of the Academy. The Academy Scribe maintains a list of all Academy members and their current ranking.
